I think I've been scammed
Do these now, in this order. You can come back to the rest.
- Stop sending. Don't pay any "fee", "tax" or "unlock" charge. That's the scam continuing.
- Cut contact. Don't reply, don't install anything, don't share your screen.
- Secure what's left. Change your exchange and email passwords from a clean device. If a wallet's recovery phrase was shared, move what's left to a new wallet.
- Save everything. Screenshots, wallet addresses, transaction IDs, usernames, dates.
- Report it. Your exchange, the FBI at ic3.gov, and the FTC.
Anyone who contacts you offering to recover your crypto for a fee is almost certainly running a second scam.
